About Us
John Chalfant is the founder, re-recording mixer and sound supervisor of Chalfant Sound. John has been working in Hollywood for over 30 years on films from Spiderman 1 & 2 to television like The Simpsons, Matlock, Tulsa King & Equalizer, just to name a few. He brings 'old school' artistry and cutting edge technology to all of his projects. Each sound project is a special gem and treated with care and love. Bringing together the best of the best sound professionals in Hollywood, you can be certain of a stellar sound track. The client can confidently depend on a hand crafted sound scape. No matter the budget; big or small, the attention is always the number one priority with Chalfant Sound. Chalfant Sound is a full service audio post company with an in house 5.1 Sound Design Mixing Facility capable of powerful sound design, sound editorial, ADR recording & complete surround mixes. Should the project require a larger facility for the final mix or Atmos mixing, John Chalfant has a great working relationship with many reputable independent & movie studio lot mixing stages from which to choose for your project needs. Audio is not just a job but a passion for us at Chalfant Sound. John has been a passionate musician since childhood & is now an adjunct professor of audio post production in the recording arts program at Loyola Marymount University.
